My kid sister Britt…

Id like to thank all of you who took the time to email me this week in reference to the media re-opening the loss of my kid sister Brittany Murphy…I’m sure this news splash will be short, and much less intrusive on my family then when she first passed…Again, thank you for the concern, and consideration for my privacy…For real.

Letter to matt dillahunty

I have watched several of your debates and many youtube videos, and I very much appreciate your manner, well tuned thought processes, and an open door for people to express their side in this very large subject matter in this very polarized culture. But two things get my attention, 1, I never hear very knowledgeable, or very insightful people representing their position in Christ, at least not yet, this could be because most Christians dont seem to possess the will to study what they are adopting as their Faith, and 2, I dont hear any Christians that just state the fact, that personal interactions took place in their lives as a direct result of the teachings of Christ, that brought them to some peace…I dont know why that is, we all have a story to tell, so we can pass on the results of the “science lab” we all live inside of to the next generation…Im a musician, and have worked with artists all my life, most of them are Atheist, and the people I work along side today, are very Atheist, and we exchange views a few times a week on the subject for several years now, along with our equal distain for what we see around us that stems from ignorance, and intolerance, and I dont believe we have ever walked away from a conversation with any uneasy feelings toward one another, ever…So I have a hard time understanding why this divide is so intolerant on both sides of this issue of God…I have absolute Faith in God, many of my friends dont…Wheres the problem?…lol…Their are a lot of us men and woman out here that get it, people like Chris Hedges, Wendell Berry just to name a few, and weather God, or no God, the goal is to be the best humans we can be, and learn to bypass our self centered compulsions to indulge in greed,  discourse, and hate, and extend a hand of brotherhood to each other, from one generation to the next. I dont think any Christian worth his salt thinks he has the answers to the big questions, if he dose, think he dose, he is greatly mistaken, and should spend much more time in prayer, as to gain some humility that may lead to some insight, that will there after possibly lead to tolerance and Love…In the words of one beat up dude “why cant we just all get along”? Again, I think your show is a very fine contribution to our culture in a time when we need all the tolerant input we can get, and learn to respect one another…

Polarization sucks…

I enjoy listening to religious scholars, philosophers, and so on, on Youtube, but after seeing the perpetual merry go round that men manage to set into motion with scriptural observations, I see a severe fruitlessness in chasing knowledge alone, based on mans understanding of God n Scripture (no offense intended here).. God speaks to everyone through their own experience…We will never understand Gods mind in full, we are lucky to have an understanding of Gods mind in part, let alone enough to judge others on this planet…Why build on mans understanding of what he will never be able to understand to any great extent in the first place?…This seems to me, to be the root of polarization in our communities these days, right wing, left wing, Protestant, catholic, Jewish, atheist, and so on…Everyone has the answers to life and truth in their own minds…(the only answers I have managed to find, is in Christ) And if you stand in disagreement with these answers men hold so dearly to them, you become an enemy… As my friend Robert calls it, “the tribal mentality”, its everywhere, and its dangerous …

This is where humility becomes the finest aspect of mans potential in reference to embracing God on a personal level, or just plain getting along in this life. Their is very little progress in God through mans observations, again, in my view anyway, and all the fragmented views, and indoctrination’s usually just produce discourse, and bigotry in our cultural climate…Its in the heart, and our capacity to humble ourselves to Gods mystery that can bring us to our knees long enough to hear His voice, and learn how to be a loving human being…And being a better human being is what should take place when we hear Gods voice speaking to us, not perpetuating discourse everywhere we go, and buying into the popular mind set of the day… Just Sayin

Just lookin around…

My rant for the day…lol…
We leave all the decisions to our politicians, scientists, doctors, and entertainment heads, then wonder why things are crumbling all around us in terms of our culture, right before our very eyes…On top of all that, we are not seeing, in a clear manner, that the very proof that this system of calculated dismemberment to our social, and environmental eco system just isn’t working for us, or that the people we have given our trust over to, to facilitate a better culture for us years ago, are actually doing just the opposite…Bad air that can barley sustain life in some major cities, water we cant drink, or that healthy organisms can exist in, a dead Gulf (of Mexico), genetically engineered foods, nuclear and chemical dump sites all over the place that we dont even know about…oh, and how about our politicians, they are selling us out every day, and get reelected year after year with the same old sales pitches, ALL of them, right, left, its all just one big circus…Progress is here to enhance our quality of life was the pitch 40 years ago…lol…Its a shame dolphins dont have arms. legs, and opposable thumbs…But on the brighter side, it was a beautiful day here in Southern California!!!
